Architectural photo at the Girona Architecture Awards 2015
The photographs of Fragments reveal three of the projects that are finalists in the competition
The 18th edition of the Girona County Architecture Awards now has its finalists, and three of them include the photographs of Marc Torra, the soul behind Fragments.
The jury, chaired by Slovenian architect Matija Bevk and comprised of members Anna Bach, Xevi Bayona, and Pere Joan Ravetllat, selected 16 of the 61 works submitted to the competition, which is celebrating its 18th anniversary this year with the clear goal of promoting architecture as a cultural asset.
We at Fragments would like to wish all the contestants the best of luck, especially the three finalists who have placed their trust in our architectural photography:
In the category of Architecture:
- Renovation and Expansion of the Can Calau Country House in Begudà, by Montserrat Nogués, architect.
In the category of Ephemeral Spaces:
- Travelling Origami at the Headquarters of the Girona Branch of the COAC and the Alt Empordà and Garrotxa-Ripollès Branches, by M. Clara Riera, Pere Fina and Albert Bosch, architects.
In the category of Urban Planning and Landscaping:
- Sorting an Inner Block Courtyard in Olot, by Joel Padrosa, architecture student.
The prizes will be awarded on Friday, the 5th of June 5, at 7:30 p.m. at the headquarters of the Architects’ Association of Catalonia in Girona (Pl. de la Catedral, 8), which is organising the event.
